Latimer's Lenormand

This deck contains 36 illustrated cards of 76mm x 76mm, packaged in a custom, full color tuck box. Latimer's Lenormand is a crowdfunder project with Kickstarter which has now been fully funded, but this is your opportunity to be one of the first to grab the deck from me directly if you missed out on the chance to be a part of the campaign.

What is Lenormand?

Lenormand decks are named after cartomancer Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand, and contain 36 individual cards, which bear some resemblance to the major arcana of a traditional tarot deck, and without the minor arcana provide a more direct method of divination. Totems and symbols within the deck are more grounded to every day or commonplace objects but often have a significant double meaning.

Deck Design

Similar to the Commonplace decks, I have created this Lenormand using linocut designs. Taking inspiration from a broad range of early 20th century printmaking styles from the Vienna Secession to the graphic style of German graphic arts from the 1930s, I have combined the use of bold black and white relief prints with an eye-catching and bold saffron yellow and added some of my own idiosyncratic style from the commonplace book.
